Project Overview
HAWAT is a web-based platform developed to digitize fishing port operations in Saudi Arabia by enabling fishermen to register their catch, sell products to merchants, and participate in real-time auction processes through a centralized system.
The Challenge
Fishing port operations relied on manual processes for catch registration, merchant transactions, and auction management, resulting in operational delays, data inaccuracy, and lack of transparency between fishermen and buyers.
The Solution
Developed a Laravel-based backend system with Redis queue processing to manage catch registration, merchant purchases, and auction workflows. Deployed on DigitalOcean with Nginx, CI/CD pipelines, and Cloudflare security to ensure system availability, performance optimization, and secure data handling across port operations.
